IDEA HUB SACCOMMUNITY IDEAS · SACRAMENTOSACRAMENTO, WHAT WOULD HELP YOU?
Bring a local problem, suggest a solution, or offer the people, skills and resources that could help make it happen.
FROM IDEAS TO SOMETHING YOU CAN EXPLORE
Projects shared from the Sacramento hackathon community. These are the creators’ own projects; Jackson made this board and guide to help people get started and connect around local needs.
PROJECT PREVIEW ↗Explore Sacramento homelessness budgets, providers and published results, with links back to public source documents.

What works now & how to help →Independent public-interest project. Budget amounts are not the same as actual spending.
PROJECT PREVIEW ↗A visit and intake log for drop-in centers, shelters and outreach teams, with aggregate reporting for stakeholders.

What works now & how to help →The public preview describes the workflow. Staff tools require an account; use fictional records when demonstrating.
External projects are maintained by their creators. A listing is an invitation to explore and give feedback, not a claim that a prototype is ready for every real-world use.
Read the early Sacramento community discussion on Reddit ↗A LOCAL NEED. SOMETHING YOU CAN TRY.
At Hack for Humanity, people with little or no coding experience turned real needs into prototypes they could click, share and improve.
That’s the part we want to keep going: neighbors bringing the problems they understand, learning the tools together, and building in public. AI helps us move faster. People choose the problem, check the work and decide whether it helps.
A nonprofit’s challenge, a neighborhood frustration, or something that would make everyday life easier.
We’re planning 4–5 hour mini hackathons: short lessons, time to build together, and something to show at the end.
Get feedback from the people it’s for, find useful resources, and work through the next steps in planned office hours.
Build sessions and office hours are in planning. Leave your interests to hear from Jackson as details take shape; this is not an event booking.

THE PEOPLE & COMMUNITY BEHIND THIS
I’m Jackson Harris, part of The AI Collective’s Sacramento chapter, led by Jesse Delgado. I helped guide nontechnical participants through turning local needs into prototypes, and built this board and guide to keep that work going.
Thanks to Jesse Delgado, Nicholas Hastings and the Sac Tech Week community for helping bring people together. The original Hack for Humanity event lists AJ Green, Jesse Delgado and Sac Tech Week as hosts.
Jesse and I are also working on SimpleTen, helping service businesses put practical AI and automation systems to work.
Explore SimpleTen ↗A separate business collaboration. Community participation and Jackson’s free lessons do not require a purchase.
